The Lightning Athletic Program is a member of the Florida High School Athletic Association and the Greater Miami Athletic Conference. Lightning Athletics offers students the opportunity to compete in 15 different sports with a total of 30 teams competing at the Varsity and Junior Varsity level. We currently field 14 girls teams and 16 boys teams, servicing approximately 500 student-athletes per year.

Additionally, individual student-athletes have collected accolades such as Miami-Dade Athlete of the Year, Player of the Year in their respective sport, and All-American honors. Most recently we were honored with the Miami-Dade Coach of the Year (2012) and two Co-Player of the Year awards in our tennis program (2013). Alex Knight also collected All-American honors as well as one being crowned as the overall State Champion in 2013.
